Dwayne excels in designing, facilitating and evaluating workshops, conferences and strategic planning processes. He helps clients synthesize their ideas to create dynamic conversations and activities that support learning, build consensus and get things done.
Dwayne has worked extensively with non-profit organizations in the community development, social justice and environmental sectors in Canada and overseas. He also brings experience in leading project planning processes using Results-Based Management, Theory of Change and Outcome Mapping.
Canadian Partnerships Branch, IDRC, Ottawa, ON Canada
Dwayne worked with the Canadian Partnerships branch of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) to research, design and facilitate a 2-day Learning Forum on “Virtual Platforms, Knowledge Management and International Development” for 30 participants from diverse sectors. The program combined traditional academic presentations with participatory warm-ups, interactive discussions, World Café rotations, talk shows and synthesis activities. Dwayne also edited seven Participant Reflection Papers and managed an online forum for the participants.
Parks Canada Agency, Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
PCA recently hired Dwayne to conduct a learning evaluation of its new Volunteer Management Training Program. He worked with the staff to clarify the parameters of the design, observe both the webinars and face-to-face workshops, and provide ongoing comments and suggestions. His worked helped consolidate the strengths of the pilot program and make it more congruent, participatory, and consistent.

Dwayne worked with the executive to survey the members and create a 2-day strategic planning process to prioritize key issues, upcoming political moments, and strategies for collaboration.
